Every UFC champions hardest matchup
[Women's Strawweight] Tatiana Suarez🇺🇸 Explanation: Tatiana is the hardest matchup for a Weili who has been very reliant on her top control in her recent fights. That isn't something she could implement on Suarez who is the best grappler in the division. I think Tatiana finishes her early or earns a clear decision victory. [Flyweight] Brandon Moreno🇲🇽 Explanation: Pantoja is 3-0 on Brandon, but their most recent bout wasn't as definitive as most think. I thought Moreno won 48-47 with a broken hand and if we see the version of Brandon that just dominated Albazi for 5 rounds I think he can regain the belt. [Women's Flyweight] Manon Fiorot🇫🇷 Explanation: Manon is the clear next contender and has displayed elite striking along with 61% takedown defense in her 7 UFC bouts. I think she beats the version of Valentina we saw at UFC Noche. [Bantamweight] Umar Nurmagomedov🇷🇺 Explanation: Arguably the most well rounded Bantamweight on the planet with his combination of combat sambo and striking. He's the only fighter I think could whether the storm that is Merabs pressure and grappling prowess. [Women's Bantamweight] Kayla Harrison🇺🇸 Explanation: Julianna Peña has nothing for Kayla Harrison. [Featherweight] Yair Rodriguez🇲🇽 Explanation: First of all I am not saying Yair Rodriguez would beat Ilia Topuria, if this fight goes to the ground it's over. A scenario where Ilia doesn't shoot early is where we could see fireworks in this matchup. Yairs movement is different than Ilias other opponents in the way that Ilia would actually have to avoid pressing Rodriguez against the cage because he could would be open to too many dangerous tactics in his arsenal. His front, teep, and side kicks would have Ilia on his toes at all times at range. I can see a world where Yair times Ilia with a high kick and claims gold. [Lightweight] Michael Chandler🇺🇸 Explanation: There's better arguments for fighters like Arman Tsarukyan but I'm thinking of the incredible wrestling, takedown defense, and first round pressure Michael brings to the cage. If anyone is gonna be Islam Makhachevs Matt Serra I think it would be Mike. [Welterweight] Shavkat Rakhmonov🇰🇿 Explanation: Shavkat is versatile, unpredictable, and well rounded offensively. The only question right now is if he can defend Belals takedowns and if he can, Muhammad could be in trouble. [Middleweight] Khamzat Chimaev🇦🇪 Explanation: Khamzat Chimaev can take any Middleweight on the planet down and submit them. This fight comes down to if DDPs underrated ground game can help him survive for 2 rounds when Khamzat has notably slowed down. [Light Heavyweight] Magomed Ankalaev🇷🇺 Explanation: Ankalaev is seemingly the only Light Heavyweight on the planet other than Jan Błachowicz who is going to shoot a takedown on Alex Pereira. But, I'm not convinced Ank has the top control to keep Poatan down long enough for him to not be faced with the power on the feet. I can see Pereira chopping at Ankalaev's legs and eventually catching him with something big as he moves forward. [Heavyweight] Tom Aspinall🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Explanation: No explanation needed. He's already the uncrowned champion just waiting for Jones to vacate.
