There has been a lot of talk recently about how a fight between Ilia and Islam would play out, and I see a lot of people picking Topuria. I understand that Ilia is coming off an amazing year with amazing performances, but Islam has been at the top of his game for a few years now and has been beating high level opponents for a long time. I feel like if/when they fight, Islam will body Ilia around in the clinch and either win by TKO with knees and elbows or take him down and dominate/submit him. Ilia does have the boxing advantage but Islam has made so many improvements to his striking game and he’s defensively one of the best in the whole UFC. What do you guys think? Btw sorry if this is a little incoherent this is my first post on verdict.
