Suarez is a great versatile wrestler who often uses body locks and throws to get opponents to the mat. She has a habit of passing guard with her takedowns and utilizes good ground and pound to open up her submission game where she looks for chokes. On the other hand, Zhang Weili has great striking. She does good work in the clinch with her knees up the middle but is more known for how she
presses forward, throwing accurate power punches and combos at volume. But I notice the biggest flaw in her stand-up game is when she drops her hands during or after combinations. This leaves room for even someone with the level of striking as Suarez to find an opening and punish her or at least gain enough momentum on the feet that she can set up takedowns easier. On the ground, Weili is actually solid offensively with her wrestling, but she tends to lose positions often and against someone of the caliber of Tatiana. I think she will be dominated in that department. My pick is Suarez RD2 SUB.
