Now I won’t be biased despite me being a huge paddy fan and I’ll actually break it down. Let’s state the obvious paddy is 30 and Chandler 38. Chandler is the more experience guy and has a lot of power. Now paddy has been criticised for his weight outside of camp and I’ll address that. For this camp paddy came in not very fat at all and was already in decent shape, it’s the longest camp he’s ever had and the best if we go by physical form, paddy also has 2 babies he’s fighting for. Last time out for the baddy he beat king green by triangle in round 1. Paddy was landing better on the feet and green shot in and paddy subbed him. Let’s go over there strengths and weaknesses. Mike Chandler. Chandler has very good cardio believe it or not, to throw as hard and much as him and still hang and win the 5th vs do Bronx is impressive, he obviously has a lot of power and big explosions and good wrestling. Chandlers weakness is his IQ, he throws it out the window, he’s also old. Paddy The baddy is on a tear at the moment but he has a lot of haters just as he has a lot of fans. Now to his fighting ability, ever since his controversial win over Jared Gordon people said he wasn’t that good, now that’s a lie. He’s very good, paddy has some of the best BJJ in the ufc and can sub anyone from anywhere. His striking is much better than what people think he’s very unorthodox with good leg kicks and switch kicks upstairs, paddy also has a lot of power in his hand and the right hand can put anyone to sleep. Paddy’s weakness is his defence, even tho his striking defence is getting better the chin is still up in the air a bit, but his chin is also insane. Due to paddy being much younger and in my opinion more hungry than Mike i think paddy will do very well on the feet I think he’ll get hit with a big shot or two but I reckon he’ll take them. In the heat of the moment I think Chandler might land a big shot and paddy will be hurt but he’ll eat it I wouldn’t be surprised if Chandler tries to mix it up and take paddy down due to his low fight IQ if he does that I think it’ll be over for Mike, we mentioned paddy’s sub game and Chandler has been subbed by poirier, yes DP is a black belt but he isn’t as much of a sub threat as paddy. But ultimately my pick is that it’ll be close on the feet, paddy will land side kicks/obliques and he’ll get pressured by Chandler, in round 2 after a close round 1 I think paddy will go forward more and land a bit more with his hands, I think he gets a clinch and uses his good judo throws to take Chandler down and ultimately I think paddy eventually gets Chandler to give up the back and that’s where I think paddy can sink in the choke.
