Ikram Aliskerov🇷🇺 (15-2) is a powerful forward pressure striker who prioritizes jabs/straight punches, drawing out counters, and setting up front kicks/knees on the feet. He is also a good grappler with good takedowns where he works ground & pound along with a tendency to chase a kimura lock. The most important thing for Ikram in this matchup is his good takedown defense, which notably held up in his bout outside the UFC against future title challenger Khamzat Chimaev. André Muniz🇧🇷 (24-6) is a great grappler who on the feet uses basic but sneaky powerful striking to set up takedowns where he prioritizes control time, advancing position, and chasing submissions with his high level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He hasn't fought since December of 2023 and is now 35, so I'm worried he may not be at his peak capability anymore. My pick is Aliskerov by RD1 club and sub. I just don't see much upside in Muniz anymore and believe Ikram wants a statement through shooting his first takedown in the ufc or snatching a opportunistic submission.
