Flyweight-125 Flyweight has always been the division with the least amount of stars and it looks to be like that for a while unless one guy can change that at ufc 310. Current 125 champ Alexandre Pantoja will attempt to defends his title for the third time. He faces ufc debutant from Japan and rizin Kai asakura, he’s a superstar in Japan and could be a star if he manages to capture 125 gold. Flyweight has a few problems besides stars tho, flyweight always has insane wars it seems like but now on to the problem that they have. Too many contenders, royval is coming off a win vs taira but has lost to the champ twice. Brandon Moreno vs amir albazi is coming up this weekend and will decide another nr 1 contenders bout. Then there’s KKF coming off a big win vs Steve erceg. Tatsuro taira looks to be a future champ despite losing last time out. The one flyweight that’s good on the mic is #8 ranked manel kape who’s coming off a loss to Muhammad mokaev who’s not in the ufc and before that 2 wins vs an unranked debutant who gave him a tough fight on short notice and a guy who’s not in the ufc anymore. So the best flyweight on the mic probably won’t be champ or in title contention. Bantamweight-135 The current newly crowned champ at 135 merab dvalishvili is not a big star and is called boring by everyone. One of the biggest stars in the ufc right now lost the belt after only having 1 title defence. Bantamweight is one of if not the most stacked division currently. We have the number 1 contender umar nurmagomedov who probably won’t get the next title shot as he looks to fight number 8 ranked song yadong who’s coming off to a loss vs Petr yan. Umar beat the former 2 ranked Cory sandhagen by U/D. Now it might look like the ufc is setting up a rematch between merab and O’Malley which is very undeserved and would cause controversy. If O’Malley gets the rematch we don’t know what’s next for sandhagen, Jose Aldo just lost to Mario Bautista, Bautista is getting called boring by everyone and is hated by everyone. Kyler Phillips who was looking like a prospect lost to Rob font. But the fight were all looking forward to is Petr yan vs deiveson figueiredo on November 23rd in Macau (5 rounds main event) that could also possibly decide the next title challenger. Then we have Marlon chito Vera coming off 2 losses and Henry cejudo who retired for 1 week then unretired and now we don’t know what’s next for him. We also have Vinicius oliveira, Raul Rosas jr and Payton talbott who are dangerous prospects outside the top 15. Featherweight-145 The current 145 champ is ilia topuria who’s coming off what could be the best back to back wins oat over Alexander volkanovski and max holloway both by KO. Ilia is a huge star in Spain and possibly fighter of the year, he could possibly become a double champ. Now next for topuria looks like it would be headlining a Spain PPV possibly in the Santiago bernabeu home to Real Madrid with a capacity of 89.000. Whether he defends against Alexander volkanovski or Diego lopes is unclear. But if he wants to clean out the division he’d have to defend against, volk, lopes and winner of evloev vs sterling. There’s also Lerone Murphy who’s undefeated who’s ranked 11. Then we have max holloway who just lost by ko vs the champ. He looks to possibly move to 155. We also have fighting nerds prospect Jean silva. Lightweight-155 The champ who seems unbeatable (Islam makhachev) will most likely defend his title early 2025 vs the number 1 contender arman tsarukyan. They had a very close first fight which the Armenian took on short notice. We also have Charles oliveira taking on Mike Chandler at ufc 309. Dustin poirier is looking to have 1 of 2 more fights before retiring. Gaethje is unclear and might have a poirier trilogy. Dan hooker is being rumoured to fight poirier, gaethje, Conor. Mateusz gamrot who just lost to hooker is in a difficult spot on who to fight, fiziev might fight poirier after having a 1.5 year knee injury. Hyped scouser paddy pimblett might fight with money Moicano or beneil dariush. We also have max Holloway who’s ranked at 155 at #5 and he looks to fight at 155 and he’s looking for a fight at int fight week 2025. There’s also fighting nerds prospect mauricio Ruffy who can’t get a fight at the moment. Welterweight-170 Current champ Belal Muhammad is a guy everyone including Dana wants to lose. He’s fighting undefeated shavkhat rakhmonov who’s 18-0 with 18 finishes. We have lots of contenders, we have former champ Leon rocky Edwards and it’s very unclear when or who he’s fighting next. We have kamaru usman who might be fighting Jack Della madelena at ufc 312 in Sydney Australia (february) Sean Brady who’s coming off a win vs Gilbert burns is also a contender. Undefeated Ian machado Garry is most likely needs 1 or 2 more wins before fighting for a belt. We have Gilbert burns who’s 40 and might retire soon. We have Colby Covington who’s scared to fight contenders. Joquain Buckley is climbing up the ranks after knocking out wonderboy, wonderboy might retire soon. We have super prospect from the fighting nerds Carlos prates and Michael morales. And there’s also mvp. Middleweight-185 Middleweight is one of the most stacked divisions with lots of contenders. The champ Dricus du plessis will be defending his title against either Sean Strickland in a rematch or khamzat chimaev. Most likely Strickland as that looks to be almost done. Robert whittaker who just lost to chimaev will need time off and a fight with fluffy Hernandez would be good for both. Jared cannonier might retire soon. Then the new guys in the top, fighting nerds once again with Caio borralho and nassourdine imavov who will both most likely have a title contenders fight next. Brendan Allen lost to imavov and has verbally agreed to reschedule with Marvin vettori. Shara bullet magomedov is now ranked and is a super dangerous striker, Bo Nickal is fighting dangerous BJJ guy Paul Craig next. Former champ Israel adesanya who’s coming off back to back losses might fight at ufc 312 and it could be imavov, borralho or a possible jiri prochazka fight. Light heavyweight-205 The biggest star in the ufc is the champ at 205 and that’s CHAMA Alex poatan Pereira. He’s running through everyone and he might fight at heavyweight soon and try to become the first ever ufc triple champ. The only contender left is ankalaev who’s a “boring fighter” and nobody wants him as champ especially Dana, and it seems like pereira doesn’t want to give him the shot. The only real contender is Turkish power machine Ibo Aslan, but imo he stand very upright has his chin in the air and doesn’t take power from the hips, and he could be fraud checked soon. Khalil rountree who just lost to the champ proved he’s legit, despite being brutally finished he was up 2-1 but he gassed out at elevation. Salty jamahal hill might be rountrees next opponent, and prochazka might not even fight at 205 anymore. Bogdan guskov is fighting Johnny walker. Jan blahowicz has been out for 1.5 years after losing a S/D to Alex pereira. Aleksandr Rakic has lost 3 in a row even tho they’ve been against top guys and he’s looked decent it’s still 3 losses in a row. Nikita krylov is fighting azamat murzakanov on ufc 309, yes krylov is alive. Volkan oezdemir is taking on New Zealand powerhouse Carlos ulberg. And Dominick Reyes is fighting Anthony smith. Heavyweight-265 Heavyweight is in the top 3 worst divisions in the ufc right now. At ufc 309 we have a title fight between Jon jones the champ and #8 ranked stipe miocic. Stipe hasn’t fought in 3 years and hasn’t won in 4 years. It’s one of the most undeserved title shots of all time but the only reason he’s fighting for a belt is bc he’s the heavyweight goat. Dana and jones doesn’t want to give the interim champ and best heavyweight in the world Tom aspinall a shot as it’s to big of a risk that jones loses. We have Curtis blaydes, jailton almeida, Alexandr Romanov, Ciryl gane, Sergei pavlovich, Alexander volkov, Sergei spivak and Jairzinho rozenstruik in the top. Gane is fighting volkov at ufc 310, spivak will fight almeida, Romanov is fighting nascimento, ufc ko king Derrick Lewis is fighting prospect jonatha diniz this weekend. Pavlovich and rozenstruik are fighting early 2025 and Curtis blaydes return is unknown. No women for today as I’m way to tired.
