Okay so this is a fight I haven't seen get much coverage but it's a big fight for both guys and a fairly important fight for the top 10/15. Here's my prediction/s and I'll put my personal keys to victory for both guys. Dominick Reyes is a pretty athletic(he's a multi sport athlete people forget man), good striker with a good frame for 205 and a bomb of a left hand. He is a fairly simple striker with a somewhat limited arsenal of main weapons, those being his jab and left straight with the occasional hook I believe, and his rear body kicks. He also is good at creating angles with his speed which can set up big shots. He looked pretty doughy in his last fight however (WE all have the Reyes Autumn 2025 physique) and was pretty hesitant and unable to get a read on Ulberg, which he is going to have to change if he wants to succeed here. And of course his chin is held together by thoughts and prayers. So in short: Advantages: - pretty fast and athletic - power sniper of a left hand - does what he does well - creates angles fairly well Disadvantages: - terrible chin - limited bag of tricks - looked hesitant and gun-shy in his last fight Johnny Walker is a tall rangey chaotic fighter with good power and a deep bag of wacky tricks. He has solid striking but has become less chaotic and unpredictable as of late. He doesn't have the best cardio which could be an issue against Reyes provided he shows up fully. Johnny Walker thrives in unpredictability and chaos but also risks getting caught and his God awful chin disintegrating. But he has fought a lot of guys and sharpened his style as well. He also said he is preparing to move up to HW and that that's affecting his training for this fight which could mean any number of things but we don't know. So in short: Advantages: - powerful - very unpredictable - deep skillset Disadvantages: - risks gassing out - terrible chin - risks getting caught down the middle by a straight in this fight My 'keys to victory' for Reyes are to stay disciplined but not hesitant and gun-shy in this fight. Pick his shots but don't undercommit. He has to keep this fight clean and try to keep walker on the outside with the jab, maybe go for the legs and body early as well. Overall he needs to keep it clean as he can. For Walker, he needs to impose his will upon Reyes and make him hesitate and back up. He should attack the legs early and pace himself, using feints and trying to create moments where Reyes can get caught by a big strike. As for my prediction, the odds are very even on this fight and it could really go either way but I'm slightly leaning Reyes here simply because he has powerful clean shots down the middle. If he doesn't hesitate OR overextend himself he should be okay and he can find Walker's chin. But what do you guys think, let me know if there's anything I missed.
