Rafael Fiziev🇦🇿 (13-4) aggressively comes forward from Orthodox but can also switch to Southpaw throwing powerful and fast looping hooks, lead hooks, body shots to close distance, elbows, knees, and untelegraphed kicks to all levels. He is just as effective in the clinch, grabbing opponents by the head to clear their hands and throw hard elbows and knees to the head then head kicks off breaks. On the feet defensively he has a high guard assisted by good footwork and head movement, often using pivots and pull backs to effectively keep counters and potential takedowns he sprinkles in during recent fights open.
Mauricio Ruffy🇧🇷 (12-2) from range with a wide stance throws powerful, accurate, and well-timed left hooks, right hands, body shots, flying knees, sidekicks, and spinning wheel kicks in flurries assisted by creative footwork that creates angles and his fast hip rotation that increases power. He hasn't really showcased any notable clinch game in the UFC yet, but I'd imagine with his stance it wouldn't go well in this matchup. He keeps his hands high and relies on head movement to slip shots and look for parries, but in this matchup, I think his open stance is going to be his downfall, leaving him open to leg kicks and takedowns. My pick is Fiziev by (DEC).
