Jared Gordon🇺🇸 (20-7) is a good forward pressure fighter who draws out and lands counters with his patented hooks. He also throws shots that let him safely change levels without too much risk of being caught where he then can land decent takedowns. On the ground, he looks to secure control and normally doesn't move out of the basic positions, which I think is better than loosely looking for submissions in spots you aren't confident in your Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for. Jared also can look to neutralize an opponents momentum on the feet by initiating the cage push Holly Holm style. Thiago Moisés🇧🇷 (19-8) is a good grappler who uses takedowns and scrambles to put himself into advantageous positions on the ground so he can open up his vast arsenal of submissions. He's also defensively sound on the mat, having notable ability to reverse bad postions he may enter and is also very hard to hold down if he's ever taken down himself. He lost, but it is no fluke he lasted 4 rounds with the current 155 champion Islam Makhachev. On the feet, he's less consistent but has good combinations with the hands and incorporates kicks into his offensive, which I like. My pick is Moisés by decision. I can see this being close but what sets this apart is I think Moisés is hitting a stride in his career and Gordon has peaked.
