He is durable, but because of his guard, he has shown an openness to attacks to the body and legs along with the head because of his tendency not to move off the centerline. Against Giga he showed an ability to utilize takedowns, and when on top, he has solid top control and brutal ground & pound. Steve Garcia🇺🇸 (17-5) presses forward using good footwork to set up his technical and very powerful dirty boxing combinations that include straight punches, hooks, body shots, elbows, body kicks, and low kicks. He has looked very formidable in his 5 fight winning streak but it is important to note that Steve is not invincible, often relying on his durability and recovery too much which could be a recipe for disaster as he continues to face more efficient strikers while climbing the division. Garcia normally engages on the mat after hurting and chasing opponents to the ground where he lands really heavy ground & and pound, but he also has solid wrestling and top control.
