Huge respect for Izzy for doing what is right and standing up for his friend. Also a risky move, if he loses on the weekend, who knows how Dana will treat him going forward. This is my biggest frustration with Dana & the UFC. I don’t want to get into the politics of why Francis left but it drives me insane that Dana can’t handle the L to point where they’ve edited out anything Francis related out of UFC history like he never existed. I saw a clip where Adesanya mentioned himself Usman and Francis and the UFC posted the clip but cut out Izzy saying Francis’ name You can disagree with Francis leaving and “choosing money” BUT he became a free agent and left. He didn’t commit a crime or do anything illegal… HE LEFT LEGALLY. He was a UFC champion, he’s one of the best heavyweights ever, let history be history!!! Jon Jones is one of the worst criminals in MMA history, brought the UFC’s name into turmoil and Dana argues and promotes that he’s P4P 1 every day. Francis on the other hand, completes his contract, disagrees with the financial side, says what he thinks about it to the media and Dana blackballs any mention of his name. It would be one thing if they didn’t promote his future fights, but to pretend he never existed or doesn’t still exist… how pathetic! Dana is this big free speech advocate, until someone stands up to him then the censorship begins. Let history be history. Francis was a UFC heavyweight champion and part of the company. Just because he left, does not mean he didn’t exist. Grow up, Dana White.
