Surely I’m not the only one feeling like this. Us mma fans has always said when a boxer loses their 0 the fans forget about him totally and it is true for lots of boxers, but in mma it’s starting to become the same thing. As soon as a prospect loses people say fraud check immediately without knowing the meaning of it. For example people said talbott got fraud checked bc he lost to an experienced veteran with great wrestling even tho talbott defended well on the ground, had a good third round and did good on the feet. And he proved he wasn’t a fraud when he beat Lima. Majority of MMA fans just throw around the word fraud check all the time, its stupid. Also we’re starting to become very quick to say fighters are overrated, for example Erceg got a win last night to snap his 3-fight losing streak. It was a clear 2-1 Erceg but bc he almost got finished in the first and then chose to grapple, people call him boring and saying he’s overrated and was never that good. Like he arguably beat the champ and lost to 3 top 5 guys, having a competitive fight with all 3. Just because he almost got finished by an unranked guy doesn’t mean he’s overrated or not that good. He did very well with his gameplan and clearly won 2-1, he’s always been a grappler his first 2 ufc fights was him winning by grappling and he’s a BJJ black belt. He’s a better grappler than striker. Plus this was against a short notice opponent that he wasn’t prepared for who had a much more different style than park who he was supposed to face. We need to start doing better as mma fans. And I won’t even start on saying every close fight is a robbery
