Brandon Royval🇺🇸 (17-7) uses an unorthodox style and solid footwork to lure opponents in a brawl where he uses angles to land uppercuts, combinations that target all levels, and a variety of strikes in the clinch that include that include knees and elbows off the break. He has become more patient but can still throw spinning attacks that leave him open in moments along with relying on his frame and linear movement as defense on the feet, which against Van could get him touched. He agreesively uses his BJJ and scrambles to chase submissions but isn't much of a threat with wrestling or keeping control. Joshua Van🇲🇲 (14-2) is a high cardio pressure fighter who in volume uses his jab to maintain range and make reads to pivot, roll with punches, open up his powerful boxing that targets the head and body, leg kicks, and counters. He is known to start fights slow until he finds reads, which yes is a sign of high fight IQ but in moments can have him fall behind and drop a round which I don't like. The biggest weakness is the vulnerability to counters because of his style, leaving him open. He could struggle against fighters with a biger frame or sharp counters. He has great underhooks in the clinch and overall takedown defense, and whenever he is brought down, he always stays active looking to scramble but is suseptible to being held down if his opponents wrestling is strong enough.
