Michael venom page returns this weekend as he takes on 4-1 surging prospect Sam Patterson. MVP comes back down to 170 after going 2-0 at 185. It’s a strange fight for MVP and very dangerous. Patterson deserves a big opportunity but MVP is a weird fight. It’s 1 uk veteran vs a uk prospect. MVP is an elite striker who keeps his distance better than anyone, he’s one of if not the fastest guy in the ufc despite being 38. It will be hard for Patterson to enter the range and try and get this to the ground. Patterson is an elite grappler with good striking. If this stays on the feet mvp will win this easily. MVP dominated Jared cannonier last time out but he did get taken down easily and controlled for the entire 3rd round. I believe mvp will land some good shots early on Patterson but eventually Patterson will take this to the ground and he will make it look easy. MVP has not showed improvement at all in his defensive grappling. His TDD is bc of his movement and distance management. When Patterson gets this down he’ll be dominating. He’ll land big shots and go for subs, Sam either wins by sub or a dominant decision. Patterson is gonna show his elite grappling and that mvp can’t handle it.
