Daniel Zellhuber🇲🇽 (15-2) effectively controls distance with his long jab and from there either initiates the clinch with the collar-tie or at a volume, throws precise combinations that include straight punches, hooks, uppercuts, knees, leg kicks, body kicks, head kicks, and spinning attacks. He has shown good recovery whenever he's been hurt so far in the UFC, but against a guy as crafty and powerful as Johnson, his striking defense under pressure may be a worry. In the grappling, he is more of an opportunist offensively attacking with submissions like triangle chokes, armbars, gulliotines, and anacondas with his long frame off of scrambles. He is able to get the fight to the mat using the clinch, then once on top, reigns down heavy ground & pound. Daniel uses his length to effectively sprawl when shot on, but in a technical sense, I don't think he has great takedown defense. Michael Johnson🇺🇸 (23-19) uses good footwork to control distance along with head movement to create openings and help land fast, accurate, and powerful combinations that include jabs, crosses, elbows, knees, and kicks in volume. He is also known to be able to adapt during fights. In the grappling, Michael has solid takedowns and takedown defense, but when on the ground, he has subpar submission defense, which has cost him in 9 out of his his 19 losses. The most known weakness of Michael Johnson is his inconsistency. If he wants to win this fight, he'll have to be on point from start to finish or catch Zellhuber with a fight ending shot. My pick is Zellhuber (DEC).
