The UFC recently released the bout order for UFC 287: Pereira vs. Adesanya 2, and Chris Curtis was unhappy with it. He had some fiery words regarding his and Raul Rosas' placements on the card. Let's take a look at it:

Current Order:

Main Card (Start time 10:00 PM EST on Pay-Per-View)

Alex Pereira vs. Israel Adesanya

Gilbert Burns vs. Jorge Masvidal

Rob Font vs. Adrian Yanez

Kevin Holland vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio

Raul Rosas Jr. vs. Christian Rodriguez

Prelims (Start time 8:00 PM EST on ESPN+)

Kelvin Gastelum vs. Chris Curtis

Michael Chiesa vs. Li Jingliang

Michelle Waterson Gomez vs. Luana Pinheiro

Chris Barnett vs. Chase Sherman

Early Prelims (Start time 6:00 PM EST on ESPN+)

Gerald Meerschaert vs. Joe Pyfer

Cynthia Calvillo vs. Loopy Godinez

Ignacio Bahamondes vs. Nikolas Motta

Shayilan Neurdanbieke vs. Steve Garcia

Jaqueline Amorim vs. Sam Hughes

As you can see, Curtis is the featured prelim fight, while Raul Rosas Jr. opens the main card and is placed higher than him. Here's what Curtis had to say:

Not gonna lie, that bout order is completely fucked. One of the best cards of the year, and I get bounced from the main card for a child? I fought on short notice, have taken on whoever and gone 4 and 1 to get ranked, and I get bounced for a kid with one fight? Yeah, I'm salty as f***.

Chris Curtis expressed his clear disdain with the UFC's decision to place him on the prelims despite holding wins over fighters such as Brendan Allen, Joaquin Buckley, and Phil Hawes. Instead, he believes that his record within the promotion and willingness to take short-notice fights should warrant placement on the main card over the 18-year-old Raul Rosas Jr, who has just one fight with the promotion, a first-round submission win over Jay Perrin.

Rosas burst onto the MMA scene via Dana White's Contender Series last year. He defeated Mando Gutierrez at just 17 years old, the youngest fighter in DWCS history. His UFC debut came shortly after at UFC 282, where he finished Jay Perrin in the first round with a rear-naked choke.
