Jon Jones makes his long-awaited return to action at UFC 285 against Ciryl Gane for the Undisputed UFC Heavyweight title, via Jones and Dana White. The UFC will release Francis Ngannou from his contract and the championship will become vacant.

Just a few weeks out from my first Heavyweight championship against Ciryl Gane.
- Jon Jones confirms to Michael Wonsover he will face Ciryl Gane for a Heavyweight title.

This championship fight takes place in the Heavyweight (265 lbs) division.

Jon Jones holds a professional record of 26-1-0 1NC and is currently unranked. His notable wins include Daniel Cormier, Dominick Reyes, and Alexander Gustaffson.

Ciryl Gane holds a professional record of 11-1-0 and is currently ranked #1. His notable wins include Tai Tuivasa, Derrick Lewis, and Junior Dos Santos.

Jon Jones is the only man still in the UFC with legitimate claims to being called the greatest of all time. He became the youngest UFC champion ever at 23 years of age and holds the record for the most title fight victories. His last fight came against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 in the first quarter of 2020. Jones won the fight by a narrow decision and vacated the belt after to move up to Heavyweight.

Ciryl Gane took home Fight of The Year candidate honors last year against Tai Tuivasa at the first UFC card in France. He won by 3rd-round knockout in an all-out bloody war with the Aussie. In the fight before that, he challenged Francis Ngannou for the Undisputed Heavyweight championship at UFC 271, putting his own interim championship on the line. He lost a close decision after five rounds of action.

This is one of the biggest fights the UFC could put on. Be sure to let us know your predictions in the comments below!
