UFC Fight Night: Vettori Vs Cannonier Post-Fight Results.

Pauga started round one with intensity and rocked Bukauskas early. Pauga was very aggressive in the opening minutes until the tide turned as Bukauskas started to find his jab. Bukauskas then rocked Pauga with a jab! The tide certainly looked to have shifted now as Bukauskas had some success with his hands and wobbled Pauga again late in the round. Bukauskas started the second round as he finished the first, but a big right from Pauga dropped his opponent! Bukauskas recovered quickly, but Pauga didn't let up, and Bukauskas clinched up late in the round to end the second. Pauga was the final round's aggressor, but Bukauskas kept his range well—a very close fight as both men swung right up until the bell.

Dan Argueta vs. Ronnie Lawrence

Argueta got an early takedown and took Lawrence's back early; after swiftly moving to side control, he soon found himself locking in a guillotine before dropping to his back. Lawerence was struggling, had his hand outstretched, and looked ready to tap. But, the referee checked and called the fight before Lawrence had tapped and while he was still conscious. After some deliberation outside the cage, the fight was called a no-contest.

Result: Dan Argueta vs. Ronnie Lawrence ended in a no-contest after a wrongful stoppage by the referee - Round 1, 2:20

Division: Bantamweight

Tereza Bleda vs. Gabriella Fernandes

A few good opening leg kicks landed from Fernandes until she got taken down. Bleda was not doing too much from the top but was clearly in control throughout most of the round. Some more leg kicks landed from Fernandes as they came out for the second. Bleda pushed her opponent up against the cage and worked hard for a couple of minutes to get the takedown. After she finally got it, Bleda was in control and avoided Fernandes's triangle attempt. Bleda finished the round with some heavy elbows from the top. Fernandes came out with the ferocity that she needed too, down two rounds and needing a finish, a big right hand landed for Fernandes! Bleda looked hurt, and Fernandes followed up with some knees in the clinch that backed Bleda up. But, Bleda shot and got another takedown. After she moved to mount, Bleda finished the fight on top with over 10 minutes of control time through the 15 minutes.

Result: Tereza Bleda def. Gabriella Fernandes via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Denys Bondar vs. Carlos Hernandez

A close first round as both men showed good stand-up ability, and some stiff leg kicks landed for Bondar, who taunted Hernandez throughout the round. On the other hand, Hernandez landed some good elbows in the clinch and had some success with his boxing—a highly competitive first round.

Hernandez started to find his groove more in the second. He landed some impressive combinations and showed good takedown defense, and he was impressively able to get back to his feet quickly when taken down. Hernandez took a knee to the head while still grounded in the dying seconds of the round, the referee did pause the fight, but both men came back out for the third.

Both men went back and forth in the third, showcasing further great stand-up ability. Hernandez got a takedown late in the round, and as he slammed his opponent down, he seemed to have knocked him out before reigning down five vicious elbows. A late stoppage from the referee, but after some deliberation, it seemed that there was a clash of heads shortly after the takedown, ending the fight with just a second left. In this case, the fight will be judged up until that point and will not count as a knockout victory for Hernandez.

Result: Carlos Hernandez def. Denys Bondar via technical decision (30-37, 30-37, 29-28) - Round 3, 4:59 - an accidental clash of heads stops the fight.

Kyung Ho Kang vs. Cristian Quinonez

Both men started the round by throwing some heavy shots. Quinonez landed a powerful hook and an uppercut that stunned Kyung. Kyung, however, fired back and stunned Quinonez! Following up, Kyung got a takedown and moved into mount. After a short scramble, Kyung ended up on his opponent's back and quickly sunk in a rear naked choke for an outstanding victory.

Alessandro Costa vs. Jimmy Flick

Costa started the fight by landing some hard body shots and leg kicks. Keeping on the pressure, Costa followed up with more leg kicks, eventually dropping Flick as a result. Noticeably feeling the effects of the leg kicks, Flick's mobility was clearly hindered. Closing the round, Costa kept up the pressure and looked close to finishing the fight at times. Early into the second, Costa went right back to the leg kicks, and this time the damage was much more visible as Flick limped and shot for a desperation takedown. Good defense from Costa, and after a short scramble on the ground, Costa found himself on top and landed elbows until Kieth Peterson called an end to the bout.

Nicolas Dalby vs. Muslim Salikhov

After a tentative start from both fighters, Salikhov landed the cleaner of the two in the early exchanges. But Dalby landed a massive head kick that rocked Salkikhov! He quickly rushed in, but Salikhov wisely took him down. As they returned to their feet, Salikhov controlled Dalby against the cage until the bell.

Dalby exerts immense pressure throughout the second, keeping Salikhov on his back foot. Dalby gets a takedown later in the round and looks close to attempting a twister. After this failed, both men were back on their feet, and Dalby continued with the pressure and landed another head kick in the last few seconds of the round.

Much like the first, there is not much damage from either fighter in the final round, but Dalby seems to be in control of his opponent. Both men spend the majority of the round in the clinch up against the cage. In the later stages, Dalby got another takedown to finish the round on top.

Nikolas Motta vs. Manuel Torres

Torres pressured his opponent early and they exchanged blows in the center of the cage as he landed some thumping leg kicks, and Motta landed some big hooks. Shortly after, Torres quickly ended the fight when he stepped into a picture-perfect left elbow that sent Motta crashing down. Incredible knockout!

Lucas Almeida vs. Pat Sabatini

Sabatini closed the distance quickly and got a takedown almost immediately. Sabatini controlled his opponent for almost the entirety of the round, landing massive elbows in the latter stages. He looked to set up an armbar in the dying seconds, but the position looked too close to the cage. In the second, Sabatini came in a similar fashion, got the takedown, and followed through with some heavy elbows. Soon after, he advanced to side control, locked in the arm triangle, and got the tap.

Christian Duncan vs. Armen Petrosyan

A high-paced start to the fight, which both men had success in their striking, but certainly, the fight was very kick-heavy. Petrosyan was one step ahead of his opponent and landed the clearer strikes in the first round. The second round started much like the first was at a breakneck pace. Duncan fought uniquely but left himself open defensively on numerous occasions. Petrosyan put the pace on his opponent and was causing issues with it. As the fight progressed into the third, Petrosyan became more in control and finished with an impressive performance.

Joaquim Silva vs. Arman Tsarukyan

Immediately Tsarukyan got a takedown with relative ease. He had complete control throughout the first, nullifying Silva's offense with his wrestling. In the second, Tsarukyan looked happy to trade on the feet with Silva and was implementing his jab successfully and looked to be out-striking Silva, until Silva landed a huge left hook! Tsaurkyan was on shaky legs and wisely went straight for a takedown in which he controlled his opponent to the bell. After around a minute in the final round, Tsarukyan successfully completed another takedown again. When on top, he landed heavy ground and pound strikes! It seemed Tsarukyan was chasing a finish, and only a short time after, Keith Peterson had seen enough.

Jared Cannonier vs. Marvin Vettori

Both men started with much more intensity than we are used to seeing from these athletes. Vettori was finding success with his left hand, and it snuck through on multiple occasions, and he had Cannonier rocked twice in the first round! It didn't stop Cannonier from pressing forward; he also rocked Vettori with a right! An insane start to the fight.

Much of the same at the start of the second, both men giving a lot of output and fighting at a fast pace. Not long into the round, Cannonier stunned Vettori! Vettori looked to be the most hurt we've seen him in the UFC and on super wobbly legs up against the fence. Cannonier wisely swept him to the ground and followed with heavy ground and pound strikes. When Vettori managed to get back up, Cannonier didn't let up the pressure and threw everything at Vettori, looking to get the finish. Showing inhumane toughness, Vettori somehow managed to survive the round. That was likely a 10-8 round for Cannonnier.

Cannonier appeared fresh after exerting a lot of energy in the round, and Vettori came back out, landing combinations! Cannonier was certainly doing most of the damage in the third, but Vettori still showed incredible toughness and willingness to exchange. The pace slowed in the third, but both fighters put on a fantastic show.

Cannonier was throwing heat throughout the fourth round, and Vettori showed an incredible chin and was still landing some good shots of his own.

In the final round, Cannonier continued to walk down his opponent and land bombs. He wobbled Vettori again in this round, but Vettori just wouldn't budge. Later in the round, Cannonier completes a takedown and lands more ground and pound, but Vettori manages to get back to his feet, and the pair trade shots until the bell rings. An incredible fight, and what a performance from Cannonier!
