With many expecting the next defense of Israel Adesanya’s Middleweight title to come against Dricus Du Plessis, it appears that bout may have to wait as Sean Strickland now appears set to take on the champion at UFC 293 on September 10th in Sydney, Australia. This news comes from Adesanya himself as he says he now expects to face Strickland.

This fight takes place in the Middleweight (185Ibs) division.

Israel Adesanya holds a professional record of 24-2-0 and is currently the champion of the Middleweight division. His notable wins include Alex Pereira, Jared Cannonier and Robert Whittaker.
