Bobby Green Draws Top-15 Replacement

Bobby "King" Green was supposed to face Dan Hooker at UFC Fight Night: Dariush vs. Tsarukyan, but due to an injury on Hooker's end, the bout was canceled, and Greens' placement on the card was jeopardized. However, White announced they'd found a short-notice replacement for the card: #11-ranked Jalin Turner. Turner is coming off a Fight of The Year contender against Hooker, where he lost via split decision. Green is coming off one of the biggest upsets of the year when he KOed Grant Dawson in his second UFC main event. The match serves as the co-main event of the card.

Joe Pyfer vs. Jack Hermansson Set for February

White also announced that Joe Pyfer will face his first-ranked opponent in Q1 of 2024. The highly rated Middleweight prospect will face the #10 ranked Jack Hermansson, who is coming off a loss to Roman Dolidze, on February 10th inside the UFC Apex in Paradise, Nevada. This fight serves as a real passing of the torch moment, and it will be up to Hermansson to keep Pyfer out of the Middleweight elite and hold onto his ranking.

Date and Venue Announced For UFC 298

The final announcement came in the form of an update on UFC 298. The PPV, headlined by a Featherweight title fight between Volkanovski and Topuria, will go down inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. This marks the UFC's 10th return to Anaheim and the first since UFC 270, which Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane headlined for the undisputed UFC Heavyweight title.
