A big fight in the Featherweight division has just been announced. Arnold Allen will face Movsar Evloev at UFC 297 in Toronto, Canada, inside the Scotiabank Arena, first reported by judobetter995 via X.

This bout takes place in the Featherweight (145 lbs) division.

Arnold Allen holds a professional record of 19-2 (10-1 UFC). He is ranked #6 in the Featherweight division with notable wins over Calvin Kattar, Sodiq Yusuff, and Dan Hooker.

Movsar Evloev claims the #9 ranking and holds an undefeated professional record of 17-0 (7-0 UFC), with credible wins against Diego Lopes, Dan Ige, and Hakeem Dawodu.

Official odds have yet to be released.

Arnold Allen is coming off the first loss of his UFC career. After climbing his way up the rankings since 2015, Allen got a crack at the division's #1 contender, Max Holloway. Allen would bring a competitive fight to Holloway, something many of his past opponents could not do. But, he would ultimately come up short on the scorecards, unanimously losing rounds 1, 3, and 4. Now, Allen looks to rebound from this loss and attempt to set himself up with a top-5 opponent next.

Movsar Evloev has enjoyed a dominant run throughout his UFC career until his last bout. After winning his first six UFC bouts, all via decision, Evloev would face short-notice replacement Diego Lopes and win a Fight of The Night vs. the debuting Brazillian. Evloev would display his proficient striking and guts to grit through some deep submission attempts. Now, he looks to acquire his first win over a top-10 opponent and will look to use his full martial arts skillset to do so.
