In an interview with Luke Thomas, Beneil Dariush has announced that he's accepted a bout vs. Arman Tsarukyan for UFC Fight Night on December 2nd.
This bout takes place in the Lightweight (155 lbs) division.
Beneil Dariush is ranked #4 in the Lightweight division and holds a professional record of 22-5-1 (16-5-1 UFC). He holds notable wins over Mateusz Gamrot, Tony Ferguson, and Drew Dober.
Arman Tsarukyan holds a professional record of 20-3 (7-2 UFC) and is ranked #8 in the Lightweight division, with credible wins over Damir Ismagulov, Joel Alvarez, and Matt Frevola.
Official odds have yet to be released.
Beneil Dariush is trying to rebound from a devastating loss to Charles Oliveira. After establishing himself as one of the division's dark horses, Dariush quietly built an honest eight-fight win streak between 2018 and 2022. However, it would be stifled by Oliveira, who rocked "Benny" with a head kick late in the first round before finishing him with ground-and-pound. Dariush will look to stay in the top 5 as he rebounds from his first loss in five years.
Arman Tsarukyan is finally getting a crack at a top-5 opponent. The Armenian has established himself as one of the most feared prospects in the division, making an immediate statement in his UFC debut by giving Islam Makhachev arguably his toughest fight. Since then, he's only dropped a controversial decision loss to Gamrot and has secured TKOs in three of his last four wins. Now, he looks to propel himself into the top 5, to hunt down Makhachev for a rematch he's been desperate for since the defeat.
