It was a controversial decision in the rematch between top-ranked Heavyweights as Ciryl Gane got the split-decision victory over Alexander Volkov on the main card of UFC 310.
The first round saw back-and-forth action, with each man having some striking success and getting some time on top, although some submission attempts may have swung the round to Gane. Early in the second round, Volkov landed a huge spinning back fist that rocked Gane in the standout moment of a relatively close round. The final round saw Volkov take top position after Gane attempted a kimura and refused to let go, seemingly costing him the fight.
