Cory Sandhagen is entering this fight off two impressive wins. Since his loss to Petr Yan at UFC 267, Sandhagen has defeated two of the Bantamweight division's strongest strikers. First, he beat Song Yadong via doctor stoppage TKO in the fourth round. Then he followed it up with a dominant performance vs. Marlon Vera, displaying new faucets in his game, including plenty of success with his wrestling. He'll look to put all his tools together when he faces Nurmagomedov next.

Umar Nurmagomedov is finally getting his shot. Since joining the UFC in 2020, Nurmagomedov has called out the Bantamweight elite. Despite not carrying a resume with standout names, he's dominated all four UFC bouts, taking minimal damage in every single one. Now, he'll face the toughest test of his career, but a title shot could be next if he can pass it. Nurmagomedov will be looking to use his slick striking and dominating wrestling to secure the victory in this bout.
