'Dynamite' Dan Ige will make his octagon return against Damon Jackson at UFC Fight Night 217 on January 14th at the UFC Apex, Las Vegas Jackson revealed to AgainstTheFence.

This fight will take place in the Featherweight (145 lbs) division.

Dan Ige holds a professional record of 15-6-0 and is currently ranked #12. His notable wins include Edson Barboza, Mirsad Bektic, and Gavin Tucker.

Damon Jackson holds a professional record of 22-4-1 and is currently up ranked. His notable wins include Mirsad Bektic, Pat Sabatini, and Kamuela Kirk.

Although Ige is currently riding a 3-fight losing streak, it has only been against the best. He dropped decision losses against Movsar Evloev, Josh Emmett, and 'The Korean Zombie' Chan Sung Jung inside the octagon. His last win came against Gavin Tucker in March of 2021. He won by knockout just 22 seconds into the fight.

Jackson's last fight was a 1st-round finish where he defeated Pat Sabatini via submission to strikes. Leading up to the bout, Jackson lost his brother and dedicated the win to his honor. His career trajectory is quite the opposite of Ige's, riding a 4-fight winning streak, including one of the bloodiest fights in recent memory vs. Charles Rosa, on his way to the rankings.
