This Tuesday, one of the most exciting series in combat sports returns as this year's run of Dana White's Contender Series begins. I went over all five matchups on the card to give my predictions, so let's get into it.

Odds provided by Duelbits accurate as of 8/11/2025

Ilian Bouafia -250 vs. Neemias Santana +190

Hard-hitting strikers square off in our Middleweight main event. Ilian Bouafia is a sharp and powerful striker who relies heavily on his straight left, which often works as he sets it up well, although his defence is questionable as he has been rocked before. Neemias Santana is a slick kickboxer with solid low kicks and good power in his hands; however, one concern is that he tends to keep his hands rather low.

I'll pick Bouafia here, as I see him as the more technical striker who is making more noticeable improvements to his game.

Prediction: Bouafia by Decision

Radley Da Silva +108 vs. George Mangos -137

Fantastic matchup of two guys I have a feeling we will see in the UFC one day at Featherweight. Radley Da Silva is an explosive fighter who blitzes with wild striking techniques to create damage, and he also has solid grappling skills, having often used trips in the clinch. George Mangos is a very fast and dangerous striker with some submission skills as well, although we have seen him spend some time on his back.

I'm betting on Da Silva in this one, as he is the more well-rounded fighter who can use his tricky striking to succeed on the feet and mix in his wrestling to spend time on top as well. With that, I'll take Da Silva Moneyline as my first Contender Series Bet of the Week.

Prediction: Da Silva by Decision Bet: Da Silva MoneyLine (Best Bet)

Jimmy Drago +138 vs. Ty Miller -179

Welterweights with knockout power collide in this one. Jimmy Drago is a finisher who swings big with his boxing, does well to work knees in the clinch, and has solid wrestling. Ty Miller is a young fighter with fast and powerful hands, coming in undefeated and having shown a lot of potential.

This one is tough because Drago is the more seasoned fighter who has developed his game, yet Miller is finding his stride and showing he has more potential. I'll pick Miller to rise to the occasion and show his talent, but I'm not confident in this one.

Prediction: Miller by Decision

Christopher Ewert -182 vs. Yuri Panferov +140

Clash of styles in this matchup at Middleweight. Christopher Ewert is a solid striker who keeps pressure on his opponents, although he has been put in bad positions on the ground. Yuri Panferov is a wrestler who forces clinch exchanges early and, when on top, does well to maintain position and work to find submission or do damage.

I'm not sold on either of these men getting a contract yet, but I'll pick Panferov, as he can force wrestle exchanges and spend some time on top, doing damage or getting a finish.

Prediction: Panferov by Decision

Murtaza Talha +240 vs. Baysangur Susurkaev -323

Bull against matador style clash here to kick things off at Middleweight. Murtaza Talha is an all-aggression powerhouse who swings big overhands and forces his way inside to use his strength to get on top and dominate his opponents. Baysangur Susurkaev is a flashy kickboxer with a hands-down style and strong kicks, along with a decent ground game that he can mix in or use to defend.

I'll go with Susurkaev to secure a mid-to-late finish here, as he can withstand the early pressure from Talha and his cardio advantage will allow him to dominate rounds two and three.

Prediction: Susurkaev by 2nd Round TKO
