The Contender Series rolls on this Tuesday night with another card of up-and-comers looking to earn a UFC contract. I went over every fight to give my predictions and bets, so let's get into it.

Odds provided by Duelbits accurate as of 8/18/2025

Manuel Exposito +330 vs. Jose Delano -476

Featherweights collide in the featured bout of the evening. Manuel Exposito is a fighter who consistently puts pressure on his opponents by combining wrestling with wild strikes, although he leaves his chin open, and he has struggled to secure takedowns against skilled grapplers. Jose Delano is a sharp boxer with fast hands and good takedown defense, as well as extensive experience in LFA, having gone the distance multiple times in five-round bouts.

This is a steep price, but I agree with it, as Delano is a much sharper fighter with better defense and more power, who has shown he can comfortably defend takedowns against fighters like Exposito.

Prediction: Delano by 3rd Round TKO

Brandon Holmes -167 vs. Cam Rowston +131

Clash of styles as we see the classic striker vs. grappler here at Middleweight. Brandon Holmes is a kickboxer who throws fast combinations, although he lacks much professional experience. Cam Rowston is a lengthy grappler from the City Kickboxing gym who shoots for takedowns at times, often desperately, as his striking is concerning due to his tendency to cover up when pressured.

I like Holmes in this one, as Rowston may struggle to take him down, and he is the much faster and more damaging striker, and we have seen Rowston overwhelmed on the feet before.

Prediction: Holmes by 1st Round TKO

Kaushik Saikumar +330 vs. Louis Lee Scott -476

Interesting one here between two undefeated fighters at Bantamweight. Kaushik Saikumar is a patient striker who trains with Ryan Hall and employs some of the similar rolling techniques when opponents engage in wrestling. Louis Lee Scott is a fast and aggressive striker with a kick-heavy attack and solid control on the ground; however, one concern is he can get a bit reckless and absorb big shots.

Scott's volume is the big difference maker here, as he is much more aggressive and can mix in the grappling while also being more experienced, given his lengthy amateur run.

Prediction: Scott by Decision

Josh Hokit -455 vs. Guilherme Uriel +320

A rare matchup between strong grapplers in the Heavyweight division goes down here. Josh Hokit is a strong wrestler with an All-American background who has dominated all his opponents on the ground; however, I am unsure how his striking will hold up against tougher opposition. Guilherme Uriel is an incredibly aggressive fighter who has never had a fight last beyond the first round, as he charges forward with big strikes and double-leg takedowns, trying to overwhelm his opponents, but he doesn't pace himself well, resulting in cardio concerns.

At these odds, I'm taking a chance on Uriel as I feel he is explosive enough to stay upright or get back to his feet and land big strikes, testing the chin of the less experienced Hokit early.

Prediction: Uriel by 1st Round TKO Bet: Uriel Moneyline

Tommy Cuozzi +265 vs. Ramiro Jimenez -370

Featherweights kick off the action with this one. Tommy Cuozzi is a wild fighter who sets a crazy pace, although he has yet to face any serious competition or compete in a high-level organization. Ramiro Jimenez is a well-rounded fighter with fast hands and strong wrestling and submission skills, but he has had his back taken early in a fight before, which is a concerning look.

Jimenez is the more technical and experienced fighter here, who can survive any bad positions Cuozzi may put him in early. Meanwhile, I am not sure Cuozzi will survive if Jimenez gets him into trouble.

Prediction: Jimenez by 1st Round Submission
