This season of Dana White's Contender Series continues, featuring five more matchups of talented fighters from outside the UFC vying for a contract. I went over each fight to give my predictions and bets, so let's get into it.

Odds provided by Duelbits accurate as of 9/22/2025

Dani Barbir -135 vs. Mantas Kondratavicius +105

A pair of Middleweights who have never gone the distance collide in the featured bout of the evening. Dani Barbir is an undefeated finisher with sharp striking that he uses to keep his opponents on the back foot, although he has been put in bad spots on the ground before, which is concerning. Mantas Kondratavicius is a kickboxer who has finished all of his professional wins, although he has faced a lot of questionable competition.

I'm picking Barbir, as he is the more well-rounded offensive fighter, who I don't believe will get in trouble with his bottom game grappling in this matchup.

Prediction: Barbir by 1st Round Submission

Brahyan Zurcher -143 vs. Murtazali Magomedov +111

Great matchup of quality fighters here at Featherweight. Brahyan Zurcher is a well-rounded and experienced fighter with good hands and a strong top game on the ground, while having fought in the PFL for most of his undefeated career. Murtazali Magomedov is undefeated, with excellent finishing instincts, as all of his wins have come inside the distance, although he was dropped and nearly caught in a choke early in his last fight.

I'll go with Zurcher in this one as he is the more battle-tested fighter, and I trust his durability more in a close matchup.

Prediction: Zurcher by Decision

Sofia Montenegro -204 vs. Jeisla Chaves +155

Strikers square off in this Flyweight matchup. Sofia Montenegro is a Muay Thai striker who is willing to trade and has shown solid power, although her defense is a serious concern, with her having suffered a ten-second knockout loss and having shown limited head movement. Jeisla Chaves is also a Muay Thai fighter who has little film available and no wins over any opponents with a professional victory.

I'm taking Montenegro here, as although her defense isn't great, she has shown she can also use her grappling to win rounds and has a much better record than Chaves.

Prediction: Montenegro by Decision

Javier Reyes -185 vs. Justice Torres +143

Featherweights with good experience coming into this opportunity square off here. Javier Reyes is an aggressive fighter with solid volume strikes and grappling, although he is hittable and struggles when his grappling is shut down. Justice Torres is a boxer with good combinations, but he can struggle with being controlled in the grapple, even against weaker competition.

I lean towards Reyes here, as I see him using his grappling to win the rounds. Although I do believe Torres can find a knockout, and this is Contender Series, so Reyes may feel pressure to be exciting, which made me hesitate with this pick.

Prediction: Reyes by Decision

Rafael Tobias -417 vs. Jair de Oliveira +295

Light Heavyweights kick things off. Rafael Tobias is a good grappler who uses solid boxing and a strong bodylock to take down opponents and use his strong top game. Jair de Oliveira is an unbeaten finisher who has ended his last six fights in the first round, although he is short for the weight and hasn't been really tested yet.

I'm going with Tobias here as he is the much larger man who I see getting this to the ground early and finishing.

Prediction: Tobias by 1st Round Submission
