After parting ways with the UFC, Ngannou looked for several places to fight, including ONE, Bellator, BKFC, and the PFL. Recently, ONE Championship retracted their offers to Ngannou as CEO stated that they couldn't come to terms on non-financial matters.
He told the South China Morning Post that Ngannou asked to be a board of directors member and was offered over $20 million. However, Chatri couldn't accept his demands and eventually turned him away. Ariel Helwani later revealed that one of Ngannou's conditions to sign with a promotion was that his opponent could not make under a certain amount.
The latest offer to Ngannou came from UFC Heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who eluded that he'd stick around after his upcoming fight with Stipe Miocic if it meant getting to face him.
