A top-10 fight between Mateusz Gamrot and Jalin Turner has just been announced for UFC 285 on March 4th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, per Amy Kaplan.
Turner was initially scheduled to face Dan Hooker. However, Hooker was forced to pull out of the bout due to a hand injury.
This fight takes place in the Lightweight (155 lbs) division.
Mateusz Gamrot carries a professional record of 21-2 (4-2 UFC) and is currently ranked #7 at Lightweight. He holds notable wins over Arman Tsarukyan, Jeremy Stephens, and Carlos Diego Ferreira.
Jalin Turner is ranked #10 at Lightweight and holds a professional record of 13-5 (6-2 UFC). He holds credible wins over Brad Riddell, Jamie Mullarkey, and Joshua Culibao.

Gamrot is coming off a tough loss at UFC 280 to Beniel Dariush. He would start the bout successfully but could not implement his intense wrestling and was outworked in the second and third rounds, losing via unanimous decision. Gamrot has already proven to be a difficult task in the Lightweight division, impressing many fans after his unanimous decision victory over Arman Tsarukyan. He will look to rebound against Turner in his next bout.
Turner is on an incredible five-fight-winning streak, with all these wins coming via finish. In his last bout, he suprised many fans after stunning and submitting Brad Riddell in the first round of their fight at UFC 276. Turner is a dangerous fighter, being one of the tallest in the Lightweight division with crafty striking and slick jiu-jitsu.
