ONE FC Lightweight Submission Grappling champion Kade Ruotolo promised an MMA debut to come in early 2023 following his recent title win over Uali Kurzhev.
Ruotolo is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu phenom that has taken the combat sports world by storm. At just 19 years of age, he became the youngest person ever to win gold at an ADCC tournament. ADCC is the ultimate prestige in the world of Jiu-Jitsu where masters from around the globe gather to compete against the very best. Ruotolo made short work of his competition this year and etched his name in the all-time record books.
His success did not stop there, however. He continued his journey in ONE Championship where he had already defeated the legend Shinya Aoki en route to gold. He earned himself a title shot against Sambo Master of Sport, Uali Khurzhev, last month at ONE on Prime Video 3. He submitted Kurzhev in round 1 via heel hook and became the inaugural ONE FC Lightweight Submission Grappling champion.
Following his win, he told the media:
Ruotolo's first fight will be one of the most anticipated debuts in recent times as he brings a lethal ground game and an ever improving skillset on the feet.
