Dana White announced today that Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler will coach the UFC's next 'TUF' season.

The Ultimate Fighter Season 31 will air from May 30th to August 15th, and the two coaches will meet inside the octagon at an undisclosed later date.

Since Joining the UFC, Chandler has fought a murderer's row of contenders. His last four fights have all been against former undisputed/interim champions Dustin Poirier, Tony Ferguson, Justin Gaethje, and Charles Oliveira. Despite coming off a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 281, Chandler will receive the most significant opportunity of his mixed martial arts career. This chance is due primarily to his ultra-fan-friendly fighting style, both in victory and defeat.

His last win came vs. Tony Ferguson at UFC 274, where he'd record a Knockout of The Year contender with a highlight reel front kick KO. His fight prior, against Justin Gaethje, won Fight of The Year 2021, and his next fight vs. Dustin Poirier would be a contender for the same award the following year.

McGregor coached the Ultimate Fighter once before against Urijah Faber at 'TUF' 22. 'The Notorious' Conor McGregor is back and in familiar territory. He's the first ever 'Double-Champ' to hold belts in two weight classes simultaneously, and he holds the record for the biggest PPV in UFC history at UFC 229 vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Although most well-known for his net worth and fight vs. Floyd Mayweather, one of the top 5 biggest fights of all time, McGregor is more familiar to the MMA Community as the man who brought the sport to the next mainstream level.

Perhaps the most polarizing MMA fighter of all time, McGregor's last fight came against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Poirier was dominant through the first round with his boxing and grappling, and near the end of the 4th minute, after throwing a kick, McGregor landed back on his leg and snapped it. McGregor, broken leg and all, was utterly unfazed after the fight and missed not a single beat in continuing to go after Poirier and, eventually, his wife.

This fight has the potential to be the most explosive bout of the year. Be sure to leave your prediction in the comments below.
