Just when it looked like the male Canadian fighters were going to get a victory, Neil Magny pulled off a massive comeback victory late in the third round.
The fight saw Malott implement Ian Garry's game plan, sticking on the outside and utilizing leg kicks. Then, in the second and third rounds, Malott also looked to execute his grappling, securing multiple trip takedowns that Magny could not defend. However, the UFC veteran proved he's always tough to finish. Last, in the third, Magny was able to hammer Malott on the ground, and even though the referee gave Malott plenty of time, Magny forced the action to stop.
