The newly minted ONE double-champion Christian Lee had a callout in mind after securing his 2nd undisputed title yesterday in the main event at ONE on Prime Video 4. Lee defeated Kiamrian Abbasov to capture the ONE Welterweight title, making him the Lightweight and Welterweight king.

The fight was an absolute war that saw Lee survive a brutal first round that would have ended most. He rallied later in the contest to secure a 4th-round TKO win along with the title. Lee, a ONE championship product from day 1, holds multiple records in the promotion, including the most finishes and knockouts. Now, at the age of 24, he joins the exclusive 'champ-champ' club that only a handful have ever achieved.

In the post-fight press conference, Lee told our media reporter that he had a name in mind for who he wanted next, Islam Makhachev.

"I saw a recent video where a fellow competitor over in the UFC, Islam Makhachev, called me out. He's inviting me over to the UFC to fight for his Lightweight title. I would love to make that fight happen, let's see it. Let's do a cross-promotion event. Lightweight world champion from UFC against Lightweight world champion from ONE Championship. We'll see who's the real best Lightweight in the world." - Christian Lee calls for a cross-promotion bout with Islam Makhachev.

Islam is the current UFC Lightweight champion and is coming off the biggest win of his career, a dominating performance over Charles Oliveira. His other notable wins include Dan Hooker, Bobby Green, and Thiago Moises.

Makhachev finished Oliveira by submission in the 2nd round and called his next fight on the spot inside the octagon against the current pound-for-pound #1 fighter in the world, Alexander Volkanovski. The two will meet at UFC 284 in Perth, Australia for all the marbles.

While the Khabib-protege, Islam Makhachev, is booked already and a loss in his next fight would likely end this dream, Lee's callout could very well lead to one of the biggest events in MMA history.
