The PFL is bringing a stacked card to the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai this Friday, headlined by a Lightweight title rematch between champion Usman Nurmagomedov and Paul Hughes. I went over the main card to give my predictions and bets, so let's get into it.

Odds provided by Duelbits accurate as of 10/1/2025

Usman Nurmagomedov -250 vs. Paul Hughes +190

The much-anticipated rematch goes down here in our Lightweight main event. Usman Nurmagomedov is a slick kickboxer who manages distance well and also has the submission game you would expect from someone with his last name. Paul Hughes is a dangerous striker who showed off his skills by leaving the first fight against Usman Nurmagomedov, having had some big moments, and now he is coming off a knockout in less than one minute against Bruno Miranda.

I lean towards Nurmagomedov to get another decision win as he remains the more experienced fighter who will still have the advantage of a friendly crowd and was a much larger favourite last time around.

Prediction: Nurmagomedov by Decision

Corey Anderson -222 vs. Dovlet Yagshimuradov +170

Another rematch here in the co-main event at Light Heavyweight. Corey Anderson is a well-rounded veteran with a strong wrestling base and solid boxing as well. Dovlet Yagshimuradov looks for revenge, coming in having won his last seven, including a knockout of Impa Kasanganay inside one minute, although when taken down, he has struggled off his back, which cost him in the first meeting with Anderson.

I like Anderson to repeat here, as his wrestling will inevitably get him into a top position if he survives any early striking, and from there, I see him dominating as he did last time.

Prediction: Anderson by 4th Round TKO

Magomed Magomedov -256 vs. Sergio Pettis +190

Fantastic matchup here between battle-tested Bantamweights. Magomed Magomedov is a skilled fighter who has demonstrated strong submission skills and effective striking, which I thought won him the second fight against Patchy Mix, although the official result would disagree. Sergio Pettis is an explosive striker coming off an impressive win over Raufeon Stots, although his grappling defence remains questionable against strong opposition.

I'm going with Magomedov here as I feel he has good enough striking to compete or even win there, but his grappling is where he has a clear advantage that I expect him to take advantage of in this matchup.

Prediction: Magomedov by 3rd Round Submission

Archie Colgan -333 vs. Jay Jay Wilson +245

Good matchup for fans of grappling here at Lightweight. Archie Colgan is a strong wrestler with a solid top game, featuring effective ground and pound along with some submission attempts. Jay Jay Wilson is an aggressive fighter with a good offensive ground game, although he can struggle defending against strong grapplers.

I'll go with Colgan here as I trust him more to stay on top and do more damage to impact the judges' scorecards when in that position.

Prediction: Colgan by Decision

Jack Cartwright +330 vs. Caolan Loughran -476

Short-notice replacement steps in for this one at a Catchweight to open the main card. Jack Cartwright fills in here as a former Cage Warriors champion with a dangerous ground game as he chains submission attempts together well. Caolan Loughran makes his PFL debut here after a solid stint with the UFC, where he showed he is a stocky wrestler with solid boxing, although he doesn't move his head much.

I'm taking Loughran here, as he has strong enough wrestling to stay on top and defend against any submission attempts, controlling his way to a decision win.

Prediction: Loughran by Decision
