Per Chatri Sityodtong at a press release in Japan, ONE Championship will return to Tokyo, Japan, on January 28th for ONE 165. The headliner will be a Kickboxing Superfight between the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai world Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon and one of the greatest pound-for-pound kickboxers, Takeru Segawa—five-three minute rounds in the Flyweight division. This will be the the first time ONE Championship has gone to Japan since October 2019, and the fourth time in the promotions history.

Rodtang Jitmuangnon is coming off a razor-thin decision loss to Superlek Kiatmuu9 in one of the greatest fights of the year and will look to replicate a similar performance by putting constant pressure on Takeru.

Takeru holds an astonishing 42-3 Kickboxing record and is the former K-1 Super-Featherweight, Featherweight, and Super-Bantamweight Champion. He will be making his debut ONE Championship in his home country, looking to announce his arrival in ONE with a statement victory over one of their biggest stars.

Also on the card is a Lightweight MMA bout between Shinya Aoki and Sage Northcutt, which will be the co-main event.
