Verdict's Sleeper Fight of the Week: Jourdain vs. Silva

Jourdain has never been in a boring fight and always leaves everything inside the cage. He has excellent kickboxing and uses various attacks, constantly mixing kicks into punch combinations. He is always willing to brawl, attempting wild attacks like flying knees and spinning kicks regularly, but is comfortable in a technical striking battle. Jourdain never telegraphs his shots and constantly attacks from different angles, always remaining unpredictable. Training at BTT Canada, he holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is willing to engage in grappling exchanges, although he won’t typically initiate them. Over half of his finishes have come after round one, and he’s proven exceptionally durable.

Silva is a flashy striker with power in both hands who constantly hunts for a knockout. He starts slow, looking for openings and throwing heavy, single shots. He can get wild on the feet, fighting with his hands low, talking trash, and attempting spinning and jumping attacks. Training with Fighting Nerds, Silva heats up as the fight continues, gradually increasing his forward pressure and output. His best shots are his right straight and lead hook, and he’ll constantly look to set up either. He has only left the first round once during his win streak and has the power to produce a flash knockout at any time.
