Two dangerous featherweights face off this Saturday in what’s sure to be a banger. In this featured prelim bout, two experienced fighters will go toe to toe to earn a spot in the top fifteen.
This fight takes place in the Featherweight (145 lbs.) division.
Nate Landwehr has a professional record of 17-5-0 and has won three of his last five bouts. He holds UFC victories over David Onama, Ludovit Klein, and Darren Elkins.
Jamall Emmers has a professional record of 20-7-0 and has won two of his last five fights. He holds UFC victories over Dennis Buzukja, Khusein Askhabov, and Vince Cachero.
Landwehr is a true scrapper who will always come forward and engage the fight wherever it goes. Although he loves to brawl, he’s very defensively sound, always keeping his guard high and tight and his head off the centerline. He fights behind his jab, constantly looking for opportunities to crash into the pocket and land combinations. Landwehr is willing to mix it up, averaging over one takedown landed and one submission attempted per fifteen minutes. He’s more than willing to eat a shot to land one and is at his best in a dogfight.
Emmers is a lengthy striker with excellent speed and movement. He’s elusive, never remaining in one spot for long and always keeping his head off the centerline. He’ll constantly throw kicks at range before blitzing inside and letting his hands go. Emmers is an excellent defensive grappler, having defended 90% of takedowns attempted on him in the UFC, and is averaging nearly two takedowns landed per fifteen minutes. He can land damage at range or in the pocket and does everything with impressive speed.
This is a fight you certainly won’t want to miss.
