Tim Elliott has never said no to a fight, and this attitude has amassed him an insane resume with bouts vs. Demetrious Johnson, Deiveson Figueiredo, John Dodson, and more. He's an awkward fighter with gritty wrestling, which has confused many opponents throughout his long UFC run. He's riding a two-fight win streak, upsetting Tagir Ulanbekov at UFC 272 before returning after a year layoff to beat Victor Altamirano. Elliott will be looking to use his awkward style to secure the victory against Mokaev.
Muhammad Mokaev is finally getting a ranked opponent. After securing four victories inside the promotion, including three via submission, Mokaev will face his first-ranked opponent in the UFC. His last bout came against Jafel Filho, where Mokaev displayed his skills and heart, securing the submission after surviving one of the nastiest kneebars we've seen in the UFC octagonHe's called out many contenders already, including Manel Kape and Brandon Royval. He can expect to get matchups like these if he can defeat Elliott, and he'll look to use his dominant wrestling to do so.
