The Heavyweight main event features two very different striking styles that will clash. Ciryl Gane has shown unbelievable development across his short time in the sport, showing world-class striking. Tai Tuivasa is a lot of fun, and he is putting together wins with his combination of a good chin and underrated hand speed for his size.

I think Gane easily wins this fight, but his betting line is too steep to play, especially in a Heavyweight fight. Instead, I will play the over 1.5 as Ciryl Gane does not rush, and Tai Tuivasa will not be easy to stop meaning this fight could get into deep waters.

Robert Whittaker -227 Marvin Vettori +175

This fight is a top-tier Middleweight fight that I am still upset is not being contested over five rounds, which a bout like this, between former Champion Robert Whittaker and granite-chinned Italian Marvin Vettori, deserved. Robert Whittaker is a tough fighter to beat as he has shown skillful striking mixed with a well-developed wrestling game. Marvin Vettori is a very consistent fighter, as he will move forward and attempt to grapple, which sometimes works however, I have doubts about his ability to adapt to his opponent.

I am all over Robert Whittaker in this one, specifically by decision at -127 on Stake.com, as I think he is above Marvin Vettori in nearly every aspect of martial arts. I feel safe playing the decision as Marvin Vettori has never been finished, and betting on durability is one of my favorite strategies.

Pick: Whittaker O/U: Over 2.5 -312

Alessio Di Chirico -111 Roman Kopylov -115

This is a close matchup at Middleweight that should have some good striking exchanges. Alessio Di Chirico is a veteran who has been off for a year since a brutal knockout loss, but before that, he had a massive win over Joaquin Buckley, who is also on this card. Roman Kopylov has lost his first two UFC outings, but he is a competent striker who is not to be underestimated.

I will lean with Di Chirico here as he has shown the ability to earn impressive wins inside the UFC.

Pick: Di Chirico O/U: Over 2.5 -179

Nasrat Haqparast -244 John Makdessi +185

Here we get an exciting matchup at Lightweight. Nasrat Haqparast has struggled recently as the UFC has quickly increased his competition level, but he has shown solid boxing skills and the ability to hang with tough contenders. John Makdessi returns after struggles with injuries have kept him inactive; he is a small guy for the division, but he can strike with much larger guys and is tough.

I will take Haqparast in this matchup as I think he has the skills to beat Makdessi, and I have a hard time backing a fighter who has been as inactive as Makdessi, especially because of his injuries.

Pick: Haqparast O/U: Over 2.5 -217

William Gomis -233 Jarno Errens +175

This is a matchup between two UFC newcomers. William Gomis is considered a good prospect by many he has earned eight straight wins across several promotions showing a wide range of skills with a striking specialty. Jarno Errens comes into this off a win less than a month ago, he is a good grappler who hits hard.

I will pick Gomis here, although I am not convinced enough by what I have seen to lay this price. Both men will likely have more fights in the promotion, so I am eager to learn more about them.

Pick: Gomis O/U: Under 2.5 -123

Charles Jourdain -154 Nathaniel Wood +120

If you can bet on the fight of the night, bet on this one, as it is a lock for some good action at Featherweight. Charles Jourdain is a modern gladiator as he goes to kill and entertain with his high pace striking attack; I have significant concerns about his ground game, though, as we saw him lose his last fight by giving up control time. Nathaniel Wood has made a move up in weight and looked good doing so his last time out, showing an evolved striking game to go with his slick ground game.

I hate that I keep betting against Jourdain because I love to watch him, but I don't think Nathaniel Wood should be an underdog here as I think he can keep it competitive standing and could dominate in the grappling as long as his cardio holds up.

Dustin Stoltzfus +215 Abusupiyan Magomedov -286

This Middleweight matchup features the UFC debut of Abusupiyan Magomedov. Dustin Stoltzfus is coming off his first UFC win in which he showed that he could compete at this level and that he has a well-rounded game. Abusupyian Magomedov comes into the UFC with plenty of experience in other organizations like the PFL.

I've got Magomedov in this fight as he has looked to be the more skilled fighter and may even have the experience edge despite this being his debut. This is a steep line, so I will not bet it, but I feel it's fair.

Pick: Magomedov O/U: Over 2.5 -104

Fares Ziam +160 Michal Figlak -208

A good matchup here at Lightweight has seen a lot of line movement since it opened up. Fares Ziam is a good long striker who was respected enough to be a pick'em against Terrance McKinney his last time out. Michal Figlak comes in from Cage Warriors with an undefeated record having a well-rounded skillset.

I will take the underdog in Ziam here as I think his experience will serve him well in this matchup. This line shifted in the direction of Figlak very early, showing the sharp interest that is worth noting.

Nassourdine Imavov -278 Joaquin Buckley +205

This is an excellent fight between two rising Middleweight prospects early on the card. Nassourdine Imavov is coming off destructions of Ian Heinisch and Edmen Shabazyan, in which he showed his finishing ability. Joaquin Buckley is coming off an impressive underdog win over Albert Duraev in which he showed improved grappling and measured striking.

I am taking Imavov here as I have been very impressed with the skill he showed in his last two fights, and with him being scheduled against Kelvin Gastelum, I feel the UFC sees him ready for the next step up in competition.

Pick: Imavov O/U: Over 1.5 -185

Benoit Sanit-Denis -303 Gabriel Miranda +225

In this Lightweight matchup, we get the first France native on the card as Benoit Saint-Denis takes on UFC newcomer Gabriel Miranda. Saint-Denis proved a lot in his last fight with a dominant win using his grappling. Gabriel Miranda has many very fast submission wins, showing he is a dangerous fighter, although he has yet to face any real competition.

This is a horrible matchup for Miranda, as I believe he is outmatched in the grappling, which will limit his submission opportunities. I am taking Saint-Denis to get the win in front of his home crowd.

Khalid Taha -127 Cristian Quinonez -101

Cristian Quinonez comes in as a replacement for the injured Taylor Lapilus here at Bantamweight. Khalid Taha has been given some tough matchups in his UFC career, but he has impressed me. Quinonez is coming in off Dana White's Contender Series where he earned a decision win.

I've got Taha in this one. I think he is the better striker and will be able to last longer into the fight as we have seen Quinonez fade.

Ailin Perez +200 Stephanie Egger -270

Here we get the UFC debut of Ailin Perez against short-notice replacement Stephanie Egger. Ailin Perez has a very high finishing rate, although she has only ever faced one opponent with a winning record. Stephanie Egger makes a quick turnaround around a first-round loss her last time out, but she appears undamaged and should have a grappling advantage here.

The safe pick here is Egger as she has the experience and grappling edge that she needs to get a win here; however, this price is off as I do not believe Egger should be this size a favorite.
