The UFC have announced their return to Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 13th in the Spectrum Center. While not yet confirmed by the UFC, the headliner is rumored to be Anthony Smith vs. Johnny Walker, first reported by Meni Meyer.

North Carolina has held six UFC events in the past, including the third and fifth-ever UFC events (UFC 3 and UFC 5.) Their most recent visit was for UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Dos Santos in 2019, where Curtis Blaydes would secure his eighth victory inside the promotion, defeating Junior Dos Santos via second-round TKO. Future Light-Heavyweight Champion Jamahal Hill was also featured on the card, alongside Featherweight prospect Arnold Allen.
