Dana White has announced via Instagram that the UFC will be making their long-awaited debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with an insane card. The event will be the UFCs sixth event on ABC and will go down on June 22nd in the Kingdom Arena.
The card's main event will be a five-round bout between the #2 ranked Middleweight Robert Whittaker and the #8 ranked Khamzat Chimaev. Whittaker is coming off a unanimous decision victory against Paulo Costa at UFC 298, where he got back in the win column after losing to Dricus du Plessis.
Khamzat Chimaev is undefeated, riding a thirteen-fight win streak. His last win was over Kamaru Usman at UFC 294, winning via majority decision. This will be Chimaevs second scheduled five-round fight, and we have never seen him go into a fourth or fifth round.
The card also includes:
Heavyweight bout: #3 Sergei Pavlovich vs. #6 Alexander Volkov
Light-Heavyweight bout: #7 Johnny Walker vs. #9 Volkan Oezdemir
Welterweight bout: Kelvin Gastelum vs. Daniel Rodriguez
Light-Heavyweight bout: Sharabutdin Magomedov vs. Ihor Potieria
