UFC Fight Night: Dawson vs. Green wrapped up with some great fights and a crazy upset. Let's recap all the fights from this card, from prelims to the main card.

Prelims

Montana De La Rosa vs. JJ Aldrich

Result: JJ Aldrich def. Montana De La Rosa via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Division: Women's Flyweight (125 lbs)

Referee: Jacob Montalvo

Despite entering as the favorite, De La Rosa would look subpar against Aldrich, unable to use her wrestling advantage throughout the fight. Aldrich stayed on the back foot, allowing her to evade De La Rosas's striking attempts before picking her apart with her striking. The jab was Aldrich's key weapon, and she frequently landed it throughout the matchup.

Aoriqileng vs. Johnny Munoz Jr

Result: Aorqileng def. Johnny Munoz Jr via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Division: Bantamweight (135 lbs)

Referee: Keith Peterson

Aoriqileng vs. Munoz was an easy fight to score across three rounds. A sharp right hand into a takedown and an armbar stunned Aoriqileng early in the bout, losing him in the first round. But, the thirty-five fight veteran shrugged it off and returned excellently in the second and third. Aoriqileng utilized leg kicks and body shots throughout the fight, and he also dropped Munoz in the second with a short hook, outstriking Munoz en route to a unanimous decision.

Vanessa Demopoulos vs. Kanako Murata

Result: Vanessa Demopoulos def. Kanko Murata via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Division: Women's Strawweight (115 lbs)

Referee: Mark Smith

Kanako Murata broke her two-year layoff in this fight but lost an extremely controversial decision. The first round was competitive on the feet, but Murata broke up the action with a takedown, which Demopoulos was able to get back from and land a high kick. However, in the second and third, Murata had over eight minutes of control time, with the strikes relatively equal. But, the judges put stock into Demopoulos' submission attempts and strikes off her back, awarding her the unanimous decision.

Nate Maness vs. Mateus Mendonca

Result: Nate Maness def. Mateus Mandonca via TKO (punches) at 0:20 of round 1

Division: Flyweight (125 lbs)

Referee: Chris Tognoni

Nate Maness snapped his two-fight losing streak by dispatching Mendonca late in the first. Mendonca was all gas at the start, throwing massive strikes and driving for the takedown. However, Maness was able to reverse the position and started hammering ground-and-pound strikes, and eventually, it was all too much for Mendonca, forcing Tognoni to stop the bout.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Diana Belbita

Result: Karolina Kowalkiewicz def. Diana Belbita via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Division: Women's Flyweight (125 lbs)

Referee: Chris Tognoni

In 2022, Kowalkiewicz was on a five-fight losing streak after going 3-2 in the UFC. She's now won four straight, her longest win streak since 2016. Kowalkiewicz found success in every aspect of the fight, pulling ahead in the clinch with the striking and the grappling, leading to a dominant scorecard victory for the Pole.

Alexander Hernandez vs. Bill Algeo

Result: Bill Alego def. Alexander Hernandez via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Division: Featherweight (145 lbs)

Referee: Keith Peterson

Bill Alego put on a statement performance in this bout, keeping calm and composed across three rounds, comfortably outstriking Hernandez. Algeo kept crafty throughout the fight, using his long legs to throw up all kinds of kicks. In the second round, Algeo dropped Hernandez with a huge left hand and continued to pile on strikes until the end of the third.

Drew Dober vs. Ricky Glenn

Result: Drew Dober def. Ricky Glenn via TKO (punches) at 2:24 of round 1

Division: Lightweight (155 lbs)

Referee: Chris Tognoni

After suffering a disastrous KO loss to Matt Frevola at UFC 288, Dober was eager to get back into the octagon and impress, and he did just that. Dober started firing right hands to the body early and chopping leg kicks before bringing them upstairs and eventually cracking Glenn with some huge shots. Dober would sit Glenn down with a left hand and then again with another, and that was all she wrote. Dober now holds the record for most KO/TKOs in Lightweight history.

Alex Morono vs. Joaquin Buckley

Results: Joaquin Buckley def. Alex Morono via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-26)

Division: Welterweight (170 lbs)

Referee: Kerry Hatley

At just his second UFC bout at Welterweight, Buckley put on one of his best career performances. Buckley remained aggressive throughout the fight and confidently outstruck Morono, who couldn't read the timing of "New Mansa's" awkward angles. This was apparent in the third, where Morono was tired from absorbing multiple body shots, causing him to lose the round 10-8 on a judge's scorecard. Overall, this was an excellent striking performance from Buckley, who also mixed in his wrestling.

Joe Pyfer vs. Abdul Razak Alhassan

Results: Joe Pyfer def. Abdul Razak Alhassan via submission (arm-triangle choke) at 2:55 of round 2

Division: Middleweight (185 lbs)

Referee: Mark Smith

In his sophomore UFC fight, Pyfer shut down Alhassan throughout the contest. Pyfer constantly threw strikes at Alhassan, causing him to fight timidly and on the back foot for most of the contest. After confidently winning the first round, Pyfer secured a massive slam takedown and quickly submitted Alhassan, making his record 2-0 in the UFC.

Grant Dawson vs. Bobby "King" Green

Results: Bobby Green def. Grant Dawson via KO (punches) at 4:27 of round 1

Division: Lightweight (155 lbs)

Referee: Mark Smith

Wow, what can you say? In classic Bobby Green style, "King" goes out there and nonchalantly secures one of the biggest upsets of the year and one of the best wins of his career in just 33 seconds. After refusing the glove touch from Dawson, you could tell Green was locked him. It didn't take him long to find his moment, and after slipping some of Dawson's punches, Green landed a massive left straight and followed up with rapid ground-and-pound, closing the contest before Dawson knew what hit him.

Though there weren't many finishes, the main card made up for the lack of action in the prelims with some crazy finishes across the card, as well as some terrific performances. What was your moment of the night> As a member of the Verdict Community, let us know in the comments below.
