Kamaru Usman is currently set to defend the Welterweight title against Leon Edwards at UFC 278, but will make his first appearance on the big screen two months later.
The Welterweight champ will make a guest appearance in the upcoming Marvel movie, Black Panther, Wakanda Forever. Daniel Cormier first broke the news during the UFC 277 weigh-in show, and it was confirmed later by additional sources.
No one knows what Usman's role will be in the upcoming superhero film, though it is something the champion has long requested. He publicly asked to be featured in the sequel back in 2019, along with social media posts featuring him in T'Challa's armor.
Usman joins a stacked cast for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, including the likes of Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, and Angela Basset returning, along with new characters played by Dominique Thorne and Tenoch Huerta. Check out the first teaser trailer for the film below, dropped this past weekend at Comic-Con!
