A top-15 fight in the Light-Heavyweight division has just been confirmed. Volkan Oezdemir will face Azamat Murzakanov on September 2nd in the UFCs return to Paris, France, inside the Accor Arena.

This bout takes place in the Light-Heavyweight (205 lbs) division.

Volkan Oezdemir is ranked #8 in the Light-Heavyweight division and holds a professional record of 18-7 (6-6 UFC), with notable wins over Paul Craig, Aleksandar Rakić, and Ovince St. Preux.

Azamat Murzakanov holds a perfect record of 13-0 (3-0 UFC) and is ranked #11 in the Light-Heavyweight division. He holds noteworthy victories over Devin Clark, Justin Jacoby, and Tafon Nchukwi.

Official odds have yet to be released.

Volkan Oezdemir is coming off a decision loss to Nikita Krylov at UFC 280. Oezdemir would find success on the feet but would be out-gunned by Krylov, who had the better cardio of the two. Despite this loss, Oezdemir is a very well-rounded fighter in the division with great kickboxing credentials, which he'll look to use to get back in the win column in his next bout.

Azamat Murzakanov is coming off the biggest victory of his career. After securing a flying knee KO over Tafon Nchukwi and a TKO over Devin Clark, the Russian got his first-ranked matchup vs. Dustin Jacoby. Murzakanov would have a tremendous first two rounds but slow down in the third. However, Jacoby would not capitalize on the slowed output from Murzakanov, and "The Professional" would be awarded his first UFC decision victory.
