Jon Jones Says Alex Pereira Fight is "Absolutely Massive"

What Jon said: Jon Jones took to X (Twitter) to discuss his recent mindset change. After his fight with Stipe Miocic, he believes the biggest move he could make is to fight Pereira next. "Bones" had high praise for Pereira but was very dismissive of the current interim champ, Tom Aspinall.

About Aspinall: Jones dismissed Aspinall's star power, saying he's a "contender," whereas Pereira is "one of the most polarizing figures this sport has seen." He also said UK fans are the only people who want the Jones vs. Aspinall fight.

2
Max Holloway and Ilia Topuria Go Back And Forth

Why? Ilia Topuria has clarified his intentions about Max Holloway; he will not fight him without the BMF title. Topuria believes Max should do the same if he puts his Featherweight belt in the mix.

Max's response: After an outburst from fans online, Holloway clapped back, saying he'll do it, denoting the BMF title as the "Bitching Motherfucker" belt, referring to Topuria's long tweets on X.

3
NSAC Withholds Diego Lopes and Arman Tsarukyan's Purses

Details on Lopes: Diego Lopes secured a first-round TKO victory over Sodiq Yusuff at UFC 300. However, due to him jumping over the fence in celebration, $5,000 has been withheld from his purse, with a hearing scheduled for May.

Details on Tsarukyan: Arman Tsarukyan finds himself in a worse situation. $31,600 has been withheld from his purse due to Tsarukyan attempting to punch a fan during his walkout at UFC 300. He will face the same hearing in May.

What? Tony Ferguson announced via his Instagram story that he'd been offered a grappling match at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational, which has previously featured grapplers like Craig Jones and Gordan Ryan.

Vs. Who? Ferguson said that his matchup would be against Charles Oliveira, a previous opponent of Fergusons. The two fought in 2020, with Oliveira defeating him via unanimous decision.

5
Charles Oliveira Offers to be Backup Fighter For Mcgregor vs. Chandler

What Charles said: In an interview with MMA Fighting, Oliveira said he would volunteer as the backup fighter for the main event of UFC 303, a five-round Welterweight fight between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler.

The conditions? Oliveira would step in if Chandler or McGregor face injury, but wishes for a contractural renegotiation if he steps up to fight McGregor on short notice.

6
Arnold Allen Returns Against Giga Chikadze

Details: Per MMA Junkie, Arnold Allen will return at UFC 304 in Manchester, England, to face Giga Chikadze in a three-round fight. Allen is ranked #6, and Chikadze is ranked #10.

The stakes: Arnold Allen is coming off two decision losses and will fight in front of his home crowd. A third-straight loss would likely see him exit the top 10 of his division. Alternatively, Giga Chikadze is coming off a win over Alex Caceres but will be coming off a near-year layoff.
