Doo Ho Choi, whose 2016 fight against Cub Swanson was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, has stated that he plans a return to action with aspirations of moving up in the rankings. Many were uncertain if Choi would ever return to action, but it seems inevitable now.
Choi gave his induction speech remotely through a recorded message as he couldn't attend the event. Choi's battle against Swanson at UFC 206 is widely considered one of the greatest fights of all-time.
Choi has only fought twice since his battle against Swanson and lost both bouts by KO/TKO, most recently against Charles Jourdain in 2019. A series of breaks and cancellations have forced Choi to the sidelines for nearly 3 years, causing retirement rumors to circulate.
Prior to his fight against Swanson, Choi was on a 12 fight winning streak in which he finished 10 of his opponents. Choi would be a welcome addition to the Featherweight division.
