The Bantamweight banger between Merab Dvalishvili and Henry Cejudo didn't disappoint, with "The Machine" securing a unanimous decision win across three rounds.
The first round started well for Cejudo, who rocked Dvalishvili early in the round. Dvalishvili was the first to earn a takedown, and Cejudo scrambled back to his feet to end on top. Cejudo locked Dvalishvili down and hammered him with ground strikes, but "The Machine" worked his way back up to the feet.
The second round was chaos, with both men scrapping on their feet. Dvalishvili rocked Cejudo in the middle of the round and managed to get him down to the mat. The latter half of the round was a variety of scrambles between the two fighters, with Dvalishvili latching up a tight choke in the dying seconds of the round.
Cejudo, starting round 3, was aggressive, but Dvalishvili stifled the pressure with a well-timed single-leg attempt that pushed Cejudo up against the fence. After trading shots in the middle of the cage, Dvalishvili picked Cejudo up and slammed him onto the mat, but he was able to scramble back up to the feet. In the last 30 seconds, the two traded punches, with Dvalishvili raising his arms in victory.
