Rinya Nakamura put forward a good performance against TUF 31 competitor Carlos Vera. The Japanese prospect won the fight via unanimous decision.

Carlos Vera has a Ryan Hall-esque approach in the first round, diving for heel hooks on Nakamura early in the fight. However, the young Japanese prospect could calmly fight out of it and land heavy ground strikes, clearly winning him the round.

In the second round, Nakamura was back on top early and attempted more ground-and-pound and submissions, but Vera survived throughout the round without offering much offense back.

The third round followed the same pattern, with Carlos Vera risking with a wild spinning heel kick attempt. But ultimately, the grappling of Nakamura was far too much for Vera to handle.
