The final Fight Night event of 2023 was originally slated for Shanghai, which would have been the first appearance there since 2017, but the event was moved to the UFC Apex. Song Yadong vs. Chris Gutierrez headlined, and Anthony Smith vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. served as the co-main event. The venue change also led to the Road to UFC Season 2 finals being pulled from the card.
